Adults $10 Children 12yrs and under $5 Experience one of the most exciting ways to travel in the Arctic. Alaska Sled Dogs love to pull, whether you are in the sled or not- so HOLD ON! Mushers are on hand to help navigate the teams, answer questions, and take your picture with the friendly, high energy K9s. The course takes you around Hillberg Lake and is approximately 15 minutes in duration. The amount of riders per sled is determined by the musher and dependant on weight. Get your tickets inside Hillberg Lodge at the ticket counter the day of. First come, first serve. Please dress appropriately. This activity is weather dependent.
Hillberg Ski Area has a FREE sledding hill located just passed the bunny hill. We have small sleds to borrow at the rental counter. Please DO NOT SLED ON THE SKI RUNS! No sledding when Hillberg is closed.
Our terrain park features a variety of rails, kickers and a full size half pipe. Ride at your own risk. Helmets are REQUIRED to ride in the terrain park.
Hillberg Lake is stocked with rainbow trout and landlocked salmon. Ice fishing is allowed on Hillberg Lake as soon as the Wildlife Office deems the lake safe to walk on (usually in January). Ice fishing equipment is available to rent at the Outdoor Recreation Center. A State of Alaska Fishing Licenses is REQUIRED and also available for purchase at the Outdoor Recreation Center. 552-2023
First Saturdays of the month: noon - 2 pm. All three ice fishing tournaments will be held on Hillberg Lake. The largest fish wins the grand prize. There are two age brackets for winners: 12 and under; 13 and older. Look for the check-in station/weight station for registration prior to fishing. Equipment and bait can be rented through the Outdoor Recreation Center 552-2023. All participants 16 and older must have a valid fishing license.
The Hillberg Ski Area has a series of groomed trails around the hill, ideal for cross country skiing and snowshoeing as conditions permit. Snowshoes and cross country ski gear are available for rent at the Outdoor Recreation Center, 552-2023
Located on the far side of Hillberg Lodge it is hot moped on a regular basis. Helmets are required. Skate rentals are $3
