Attention to All Personnel
The Base Honor Guard is always looking for dedicated individuals to represent the United States Air Force and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in a wide variety of military ceremonies conducted both on and off base. The Honor Guard is a volunteer program open to officers and enlisted Airmen.The team is responsible for providing active duty, retired and veteran members with final military honors, as well as participating in changes of command. The team also performs many functions supporting local communities including Aces games, Fur Rondy and ASYMCA.
The ceremonial guardsmen is an individual of good reputation, having integrity, ethical conduct and exhibiting standards which merit respect; responsible for protecting and overseeing the maintenance of standards on and off duty. It is truly an occupation which requires outstanding devotion and commitment to duty.
Interested individuals must receive approval to join the JBER Honor Guard by obtaining signatures from immediate supervisor, First Sergeant and Squadron Commander on Letter of Approval/Nomination.
